Watching Sports Center this morning, Hannah Storm mentioned the temerity of an Oklahoma State wide receiver for making a great play. I thought, that doesn't sound right.
It wasn't.
Another word with the same meaning: reckless.
I'm slightly off-put by the what-seems-to-me-to-be missing w in reckless.
The word she should have used was courage. She showed temerity for using temerity the way she did.
